League of Legends news: Team Vitality acquires Szygenda

Team Vitality is reportedly looking to add Mathias “Szygenda” Jensen to their League of Legends roster. In a report by ESPN, Vitality hopes to lock in their player acquisition as early as November 16th.

The addition of Szygenda to the team is an attempt to rework their team’s strength following a catastrophic 2020 season. He will be taking the place of Lucas “Cabochard” Simon-Meslet, who has been playing for Team Vitality for almost five years. Cabochard is set to become a free agent in the coming off-season pending an offer from an active League of Legends European Championship team.

Szygenda is currently registered as a League of Legends player for AGO ROGUE, Rogue’s academy team. The fledgling Top Laner also briefly played for Origen’s own Academy squad. His addition is sure to be a breath of fresh air for the ailing LEC squad.

Team Vitality got off on the wrong foot at the beginning of the 2020 season. VISA complications prevented their slated Mid Laner Aljoša “Milica” Kovandžić from competing. They had to resort to fielding in their academy team’s Mid Laner, which resulted in an opening 0-6 record. Vitality failed to make it to any of the two Playoffs this year prior to news of the roster change breaking out.

Milica managed to make it to the second half of the season, but Vitality still failed to break into the playoffs. Team Vitality’s most famous international outing came in the 2018 League of Legends world championship where performed admirably just about the defending world champions Gen.G.

Vitality finished strong in the group stage just barely being edged out by Cloud9.
