Guild Esports Announces Partnership with MediaCom Sports and Entertainment

Guild Esports (Guild), announced the appointment of MediaCom Sports & Entertainment as the company’s consultancy. The global esports business, headquartered in London announced its first consultancy which would help them in shaping commercial partnership strategies.

MediaCom is one of the largest media agencies and it would support Guild in all aspects of its commercial proposition, development of a global go-to strategy for its commercial partners.

Global Esports, co-owned by legendary David Beckham, is trying to bridge the gap between sports and esports with an academy powered model. It is a brand that celebrates and harnesses the diverse and tribal loyalty of esports enthusiasts. The company aims to build a culture of excellence around the brand and develop a cross-branded lifestyle suited to the fastest-growing esports market. It is now valued at $1.1bn, if the projections are to be believed then it is going to grow by 42% and will be valued at $1.56bn by 2023.

MediaCom has a proven track record and has a wealth of experience and expertise in the field to support the mission and vision of Guild. This came after the recent work of Guild with Tencent, Cartier, Piaget, and Richemont.

Carleton Curtis, Executive Chairman of Guild spoke about the appointment and said that they are excited to welcome MediaCom. He said the experience of MediaCom and understanding of the core channels make them a perfect fit for Guild.

Director of Commercial Partnership, Michelle Tierney, said that Guild is at a pivotal moment for growth and equally exciting time to welcome MediaCom. He said that the company helps build the momentum of Guild.

Guild’s teams for EA FIFA Esports and Rocket League debuted this year. The company plans to scale up into various esports discipline in the upcoming seasons. The professional athletes of Guild are also expected to participate in Fortnite.
