Betting on Arena World Championship & Mythic Dungeon International

World of Warcraft esports bettors will enjoy a bevy of new opportunities in 2021. In addition to the official announcement of the 14th Arena World Championship, the WoW esports team will be splitting competitive PvP in 2021 up into two different seasons. Furthermore, they will be dropping any regional restrictions that were previously placed on the Mythic Dungeon Invitational. Whether you’re a PvP or a PvE WoW esports bettor, 2021 promises to be the most exciting year yet for WoW esports gambling.

Changes to WoW PvP Betting in 2021

Betting on player-versus-player competitions in World of Warcraft is one of the most exciting ways to engage with WoW esports. The release of the Shadowlands expansion on November 23, 2020, has greatly improved the balance of player-versus-player. The previous Battle for Azeroth expansion’s PvP was widely criticized for being too slow, as healing was too strong and matches would usually end due to health dampening. Now, matches are incredibly quick, and rounds that last over a minute are uncommon.

This means that the PvP watching experience got a complete overhaul too. While teams will still spend time poking and prodding each other to gain an early advantage, the WoW Shadowlands PvP metagame is all about clever movement and unexpected spell timings. Thanks to the awesome balance update provided by Activision-Blizzard, there’s never been a better time to start betting on WoW PvP.

In addition to the balance changes, a newly-remodeled esports circuit will give you even more opportunities to bet on Shadowlands WoW PvP. The Arena World Championship, the highest circuit for WoW PvP, will be breaking their regular season up into a first season, a relegation, and then a second season before culminating in the Finals, which will crown the AWC: Shadowlands 2021 Grand Finals Champions. The $200,000 prize available at the Finals is nothing to scoff at, and the total prize for first-party WoW PvP events will be over $900,000 in 2021.

New WoW PvE Betting for Shadowlands

The Mythic Dungeon International was a rousing success in 2020. The dungeons released at the tail end of Battle for Azeroth have some of the trickiest fights and most challenging boss battles in World of Warcraft history. Shadowlands’ early offerings also promise to bring the hype, so much so that WoW PvP esports will also be broken up into two different seasons. Season 1 will be followed by a relegation period before kicking things back into gear with Season 2. Of course, both seasons will lead to the 2021 MDI Global Finals, the Superbowl of World of Warcraft.

With more than $750,000 up for grabs, Activision-Blizzard has also removed global barriers preventing guilds from battling it…
