runi Parts Ways with Cloud9’s Valorant Roster

One of the latest additions of Cloud9, Dylan “runi” Cade, has parted ways with the North American organization and has announced himself as an unrestricted free agent

Before the start of the Americas League in 2023, Cloud9 made wild roster moves by letting go of their star player, Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker, and in-game leader Anthony “vanity” Malaspina. In their place, the organization signed Dylan “runi” Cade rookie collegiate pro Jake “jakee” Anderson.

As a former IGL for Soniqs, runi took the role of leading the North American squad, and both of these players did incredibly well in the Regular Season, with Cloud9 looking like the second-best team from the Americas after LOUD. Cloud9’s Failure to Reach Global Events

While Cloud9’s excellent run in the Regular Season looked like the beginning of an incredible year, the team failed to get their Masters and Champions slots due to the defeats in the Playoffs of the Americas League. Even in the LCQ, where they were the clear favorites, the North Americans faced a disappointing upset against KRÜ, losing their only chance to make it to the Champions.

As a result, the dominating 8-1 record in the Regular Season did not amount to anything, as the team lost their opportunity to compete in the two global events after LOCK//IN.

Current Members of Cloud9

With runi out of the team, here are the remaining members of Cloud9 –

  • Nathan “leaf” Orf
  • Erick “Xeppaa” Bach
  • Jake “jakee” Anderson
