The release date for the Diablo 4 Battle Pass for Season 1 has been announced, along with details about what it entails — leaving fans enthralled
Diablo IV is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) of the Action genre. It is the fourth installment in the Diablo game series and the game developer, Blizzard Entertainment, has published it. As of 2023, Blizzard has announced that game is getting a new season update, coming out on July 20. Blizzard is calling it the “Season of the Malignant” and everyone is wondering how the Season 1 Battle Pass works. Here’s what we know about the Season 1 Battle Pass.

How the Diablo 4 Battle Pass Will Function
According to Gamesradar, it has come to light from sources at Blizzard that the Battle Pass will have 27 free tiers from which you can acquire cosmetics and Smoldering Ashes, which is a new resource that can be applied to the Season Blessing system. It will allow you to purchase seasonal realm boosts such as Elixir effectiveness or boosting XP. The Season 1 update can be enjoyed thoroughly without buying the Season 1 Battle Pass, but if you do buy the new Battle Pass, you’ll get 90 tiers of items including cosmetics, resources and more to upgrade your new character in the Seasonal Realm.
You will also be able to keep track of progress with the Season Journey tab in the game’s UI, which will break down the game’s progression into 7 chapters, each containing many objectives. You are only required to complete a few of those objectives to advance to the next chapter, which includes items and Legendary Aspects as rewards along the way. You can also unlock new horse armor and emotes with the battle pass along with cosmetics which are considered class agnostic, excluding the transmog weapons which are other class specific.
Needless to say, this “Season of The Malignant” update is going to be bringing a lot of new things to the game for players to explore. The Season 1 Battle Pass is going to provide players with a bunch of new upgrades, which makes the Battle Pass worth buying.
