Academy Standouts Join Spirit’s Roster, Including Donk

Rising Stars Join Chopper and Magixx in Spirit’s Starting 5-Man Lineup

With a stellar performance in Antwerp’s PGL Major in 2022 that put them on the face of the map, 2023 now brings Spirit on a journey of self-discovery with a significant shuffle in the roster after an uneventful start to the year.

After Robert “Patsi” Isyanov’s departure to Liquid and Pavel “s1ren” Ogloblin and Igor “w0nderful” Zhdanov being benched, Spirit will now bring forth three prodigy academy players to take their place in the main roster: Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, Artem “ArtFr0st” Kharitonov and Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia.

Whether its two 2nd place finishes in WePlay Academy League or the outstanding 1st place win at CCT West Europe Series 1, these three musketeers have played undeniably vital roles in carrying Spirit Academy to these titles, even beating tough competitors including BIG, GamerLegion, Falcons and Into the Breach.

One particular individual with all eyes on him is donk, a 16-year-old CSGO player expected to make a big-bang debut. With a career rating of 1.17 in his time with the academy, he is sure to shake the world of CSGO with high hopes invested in his fresh talent.

Spirit’s coach Sergey “hally” Shavaev had much optimism when sharing his thoughts about the new team, stating how it was impossible to ignore the young players and their noteworthy achievements. He further mentioned how they showed both discipline and initiative in tests, so he believes them to be a very beneficial fresh set of voices in the team.

Spirit’s roster now stands with the following:

  • Sergey “hally” Shavaev (coach)
  • Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov
  • Boris “magixx” Vorobiev
  • Danil “donk” Kryshkovets (new)
  • Artem “ArtFr0st” Kharitonov (new)
  • Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia (new)
