DK or Gen.G – who is the n°2 team of the LCK?
Both Gen.G and DK faced T1 in the first round robin of the LCK 2023 Spring Split but were unable to take down Faker and the legendary organization. Now that T1 is the only team with no losses in the records, DK and Gen.G will have to fight it off to determine who can stay right behind it.
Considering their recent performances, the series might be a lot closer than people would have anticipated. While DK comes in slightly in advantage having taken one game from T1, Gen.G has shown improvements since their loss. Peyz is finally showing why the org decided to promote him to the starting ADC spot, as he and Chovy have similar damage output (26.3% vs 27.5% of total damage).
Going against Deft and Kellin, Peyz and Delight will have to step up even further to take the series. In this current bot-centric meta, it will come down to whoever can beat the other bot lane first and push the lead.

Match Preview
With bot lane getting most of the attention, mid and jungle are going to be the two keys that can swing in one team’s favor. In particular, both Canyon and Peanut will likely pick up some strong early game junglers like Elise and Lee Sin to speed up the tempo of the game. Expect these two, as well as Maokai and Sejuani, to be a high priority.
The mid lane matchup is also exciting to watch, as both Showmaker and Chovy are showcasing proficiency on many different champions. Both of them played at least 7 unique champions and we might see more to come, considering how important mid lane counter matchups are currently. We’ll see whether Syndra and Ryze will continue to be pick-or-ban throughout the series and which team will get the chance to play one of these champions. Overall, I would say the two are even.
After the banger series we had between T1 and DK where Keria picked Kalista support, this has the potential to become another highlight reel. DK is slightly favored over Gen.G given how well they can play around their bot lane. That said, Gen.G has for sure the ability to take this match at least to three games.
Prediction: DK 52% | Gen.G 48%
