Dota 2 Patch 7.32d – Several Things You May Not Have Noticed

After waiting for some time, Valve finally decided to give us access to Dota 2’s latest patch. Even though this is not the big update we were all waiting for, it will be a breath of fresh air because the current meta has been around for some time. While it is true that patch 7.32d does not change everything from the ground up, it will definitely affect some heroes.

We’ve already mentioned some of the heroes that we expect to shine and those that will most likely fade out of the meta. That said, the new Dota 2 update contains a lot of other things that you have to be aware of. Some of you probably missed out on some of them, which is why this article will go through everything you have to know.

The Flagbearer Creep now gives an additional 10 gold to allies within range

One of the first changes you should’ve read while going through the Patch Notes is related to the Flagbearer Creep. The latter was added to the game a couple of months ago, and it definitely made it more fun. That said, some people in the lower Dota 2 ranks did not pay that much attention to the creep, even though it provided extra gold.

By the looks of it, patch 7.32d will change this because Valve decided to increase the extra gold provided by the creep. In other words, people must be more careful and do everything possible to land the last hit on the creep.

Speaking of last hitting, the enemy hero will try to prevent you from securing a kill on the creep. That’s why it might be a good idea to use one of your abilities to get it. For example, Shadow Fiend can use his Shadowraze, and it might hit the enemy hero and do damage to him as well.

Legion Commander’s Moment of Courage Level 25 talent no longer gives Duel cast range

Despite not being the top-tier hero in the meta, Legion Commander definitely became more popular in the last couple of weeks. The hero has always been a popular option for PUB games because she can secure tons of kills. Moreover, her duel allows her to snowball really fast and become one of the most dangerous cores in the game.

In addition to everything mentioned so far, there was a bug that affected the hero’s Duel cast range. It involved LC’s level 25 Moment of Courage talent because this thing also gave Duel extra range. Needless to say, players were “abusing” this all time, which allowed them to secure faster and easier duels.

The bad news for LC players is that Dota 2’s patch 7.32d finally addressed the problem. According to the changelog, Valve fixed it, meaning that the talent won’t give her any extra range to Duel. Needless to say, this will make playing with the hero slightly more complex.

Axe will be really strong

If you take a quick look at the Dota 2 patch 7.32d change log, you will see that some heroes received a lot of buffs, whereas others only got nerfs. Axe is one of the heroes that got a slight buff, but it is not that impressive compared to things like QoP, which is why many people haven’t paid that much attention.

While it is true that Axe only got a 2% movement speed buff for his level 10 Battle Hunger talent, we expect the hero to be powerful. That’s because one of Axe’s go-to items (Blade Mail) received two major Buffs. Unsurprisingly, almost all Axe players get this item at some point in the game because it allows them to do a lot more damage.

Following the changes, Blade Mail now returns 85% of the target’s damage instead of 80%. On top of that, the item no longer interrupts channeling when cast, which is really important for some heroes. However, Axe is not one of them.

That said, the extra damage that the target takes from his own damage when Blade Mail is active allows Axe to have a bigger chance of using his ultimate. As you all know, his ult allows the hero to kill anyone.

Storm Spirit’s buff probably won’t be enough to put the hero back in the meta

Storm Spirit is one of the Dota 2 heroes that always had a popular role in the game. The hero is one of the go-to options for PUB games, but he was the preferred midder among professional players for several months in 2022. However, the hero received a couple of significant nerfs that affected his popularity. Consequently, he was the go-to option for the best midders at TI 11.

Speaking of Storm Spirit, the hero received a small buff in 7.32d. Instead of having a 0.5 base mana regen, it is now 0.6. In theory, this should allow SS to use some of his abilities more often, but a 0.1 boost won’t make that much of a difference.

The bad news for Storm Spirit is that one of his core items received two nerfs. Although Bloodstone was not that big for SS in 2022, the item always played a key role for the hero. Sadly, the new update decreased Bloodstone’s HP and Mana bonuses from 550 to 500. In other words, Storm Spirit players who get this hero will have less mana to work with.

Final Thoughts

It’s been a day since the new Dota 2 update became available, so we will wait a bit and see what will happen. Expect to see more articles retarding the patch and its effect on the current meta in the near future.
