DuBu is no longer a part of TSM.FTX

The end of The International 11 marks the beginning of the post-TI shuffle that some teams have been waiting for.

Tundra Esport’s dominance definitely made some organizations think twice about their rosters. As a result, we’ve already seen many changes, one of which is related to TSM.FTX

The change

Today we part ways with our DOTA Support, @DubuDota

We can’t thank you enough for your hard work and effort over the past year and all the contributions you made to the team.

We wish you all the best in you future, thank you for everything 🖤🤍 pic.twitter.com/w3ddHY2zbt

TSM became the only North American team to achieve something impressive during the 2021-2022 DPC.  Even though it failed to win ESL One Stockholm, the first Major of the DPC, the team reached the Grand Final, where it lost against OG. This was a glimmer of hope for North America and an excellent option for TSM to secure a slot for The International 11.

Unfortunately, TSM never lived up to the expectations because the team crumbled at The International 11. Even though it was one of the hidden favorites, DuBu and the rest finished last in Group B after securing 5 draws, 0 wins, and 4 losses. Needless to say, the team was eliminated from the event.

So, after two years of playing together, TSM decided it is time for a change. As a result, the team’s position 5 player Kim “DuBu” Doo-yong is no longer a part of the squad. The legendary Korean support joined the team in early 2021 and has been a part of every major success since then.

The problems

As mentioned, TSM’s final against OG was the highlight of the year for the club, but it wasn’t enough to shine at TI 11. After this event, the team didn’t do much. In fact, TSM.FTX was also a part of ESL One Malaysia, but it failed to live up to the expectations.

So, despite being NA’s favorite, TSM didn’t do much and became one of the first teams to leave The International. We are unsure whether DuBu’s departure will have that big of an effect on the team, but we will have to wait and find out.
