Dota 2 TI10 True Sight

September 24, 2022 marks the premiere of Valve’s TI10 True Sight, featuring Team Spirit and PSG.LGD. Hence, fans are excited to relive the journey of Team Spirit’s Road to becoming the International 10 Champions and a look into LGD’s second time to feature in the TI True Sight series.

Not to be confused with one of Dota 2’s in-game mechanics, which reveals invisible players, the TI True Sight is a documentary on the defining moments of the International Grand Finals. Its latest iteration, which is the TI10 True Sight, will show us the in-booth and behind-the-scenes perspective of the Grand Finals at the International 2021.

The documentary series first debuted in the year 2018, featuring the grand finals between Team Liquid and Newbee at the International 2017. Ever since then, fans eagerly wait for every annual iteration of TI True Sight.

TI True Sights are more often than not, very emotional for both sides and expose the harsh endeavors behind every scene. One of the most iconic scenes in TI7 Dota True Sight was when the camera panned towards Song “Sccc” Chun, overlooking his opponents, Team Liquid, lift the Aegis of Champions.

Despite Newbee’s best efforts, Liquid had the last laugh and became the International 2017 Champions. The rest of the Newbee players were seen sobbing as their family members comforted them. And perhaps the most inspirational takeaway from the loss was how Newbee’s team manager comforted them.

OG True Sight

TI8 and TI9 were the glory years of Team OG, the two-time champions. Nevertheless, TI8 Dota True Sight was likely more memorable because of OG’s journey to reach the grand finals. For the uninitiated, OG barely qualified for TI8 thru the open qualifiers after Tal “Fly” Aizik and Gustav “s4” Magnusson left for Evil Geniuses. They left just days before the Supermajor, which forced OG to withdraw from the last major, thus eliminating their chance of a direct invite to TI8.

The drama aside, OG still entered TI8 as the underdogs and won against the Chinese powerhouse, PSG.LGD. The highlight of TI8 Dota True Sight is certainly Sébastien “Ceb” Debs’s morale support at uplifting OG’s wild card energy.

Meanwhile, TI9 Dota True Sight showcased the dominance of OG as hopefuls of becoming the first and only two-time TI Champion. Furthermore, it was also Team Liquid’s second time being featured in TI True Sight, albeit it didn’t reflect well on Liquid’s captain, Kuro “KuroKy” Takhasomi. Perhaps the most infamous scene in TI9 Dota True Sight was when Kuroky asked Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov to play like their opponent offlaner, Ceb.

TI11 Edition

It’s Team Spirit’s first time in a TI True Sight series, which will certainly be of many fans’ interest. Team Spirit gives off vibes of a team of friends, playing without any regard for consequences. As quoted by their coach, Airat “Silent” Gaziev, they never expected to make it this far, let alone win TI.

On the other side, we will also enjoy a take on PSG.LGD’s new line-up is relatively young and accomplished in its own rights. A controversial debate that got the Dota 2 fanbase ruffled since PSG.LGD’s loss was why they didn’t ban Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov’s Magnus. Collapse’s Magnus is well-regarded as one, if not, his best signature hero, among others, including Mars and Doom. Yet, we saw how Team Spirit overwhelmed LGD with countless Magnus Skewers, picking them off one-by-one.

Hence, the TI10 True Sight will surely show us the thought process behind PSG.LGD’s decision to not ban Magnus from Collapse. And chances are, if the Chinese fans aren’t happy with the TI10 runner-up’s past decisions, expect a debacle on Weibo. With the single most important Dota 2 event coming very soon, make sure you check out our Dota 2 betting page where you can find all the best sign up offers and free bets available!
