NiP Adds Aleksib to Roster

You don’t have to be a massive CSGO fan to know that Ninjas of Pyjamas (NiP) is one of the biggest names in the game. Although the current roster had gone through many changes over the years, the team always remained among the best.

Speaking of changes, NiP just announced that they would add a new player to their roster. Unlike other teams, this one decided it is time to expand by adding players from other regions. Hence, the team welcomes Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen.

The Swedish organization was notorious for focusing on players of the same nationality. Other teams did the same because this allowed the players to have better communication and achieve better results. However, those days seem long gone because NiP made some pretty interesting changes.

It all started with NiP’s decision to bench Nicolas “Plopski” Gonzalez Zamora. He was a part of Team Ancient before joining NiP in 2019. After two years in the team, the organization decided it is time for a change.

The change comes in the face of Aleksib, the 25-year-old Finnish player who was a part of numerous top-tier teams over the years. Until today, he played for G2 Esports, but the organization decided to give him the option to explore other opportunities. G2 Esports swapped Plopski for Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen.

Here is NiP’s roster after the recent changes:

  • Hampus “hampus” Poser
  • Fredrik “REZ” Sterner
  • Patrick “es3tag” Hansen
  • Ludvig “Brollan” Brollin
  • Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen

Daniel “djL” Narancic remains the team’s coach, whereas “Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedrz remains on leave. We are yet to see whether this legendary player will be back in action in the future.

Ninjas in Pyjamas

As you probably know, Aleksib is known as being one of the most talented in-game leaders. This means he will take this role from Hampus “hampus” Poser. What’s more, the team will have to communicate in English, which is a big change for Ninjas in Pyjamas.

According to some sources, this roster change was needed because NiP was unhappy with its current results. This may not come as a surprise, considering that the team recently did not win any big events.

Fans expected NiP to do well in the ESL Pro League, but this never happened. The team lost most of its matches and ended up placing 5th in its group. This was a clear sign that the team had to make some changes. Hopefully, the addition of Aleksib will be enough to put NiP back on the map.

This change was very important because there will be roster locks due to the upcoming Regional Major Ranking event. As you probably know, Ninjas in Pyjamas will participate in it and hope to secure a slot for IEM Rio Major. You can watch NiP’s new roster in action in Malta, where the team will have to play against Could9, Astralis, Daze, and so on.

Don’t forget to skim through the best CSGO betting sites so you can find a place that will offer you the best odds.
