Evil Geniuses to Have Two Rosters at Fragadelphia

Evil Geniuses to Have Two Rosters at Fragadelphia

A busy Fragadelphia for Evil Geniuses, as they’re set to field two rosters at the event.

Fragadelphia is one of the interesting LAN CSGO events that take place in North America. It has been home to some of the best teams in the world over the years, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise we will have the chance to see a lot of big names in action.

Speaking of the devil, one of the teams that we will see is Evil Geniuses. The latter is notorious for being one of the best in North America, but what’s exciting is that the organization will have two rosters at this event. Needless to say, many people were concerned about whether this would cause a problem.

The problem

EG is one of the confirmed participants at Fragadelphia 17, but the organization won’t just go there with its main roster. Instead, we will have the chance to see multiple squads. According to the information, Party Astronauts and Carpe Diemn will take part in the tournament and will represent the North American organization.

The backlash

Unsurprisingly, many CSGO fans and people involved in the industry were not happy with the organizer’s decision to allow EG to take part with two separate rosters. Some people even pointed out that EG could win up to $60,000 from the $100,000 prize pool if both of its rosters succeed.

On top of the potential winnings, it is also worth noting that a clash between the two would result in a conflict of interest. In other words, fans implied that EG would favor one of its roster over the other one.

Frag is one of those events that we all LOVE to play. It was discussed EXTENSIVELY with the TO so what’s there to be upset about. I assure you and anyone else upset at this that there is absolutely zero chance of any foul play. We are all there to have a good time and WIN.

Unsurprisingly, EG’s head coach Muenster defended Fragadelphia’s decision to allow his organization to participate with two separate rosters. According to his tweet, there is absolutely zero chance of any foul play, and the teams are there to have a good time and win. Of course, we will have to wait and see whether this will be the case.

Previous problems

The multi-roster participation in tournaments has been a problem in Dota 2, as well as in CSGO. In fact, some of you may remember that the Brazilian SK squad also played with NTC in a tournament that took place in 2018.

We don’t know whether the event’s organizers will decide to change the rules. Fragadelphia 17 will begin on September 9, so there are a few more days left. The tournament will take place in Philadelphia and will include 24 times.

Needless to say, this event will offer a lot of betting opportunities, so feel free to check our CSGO betting tips if you haven’t done that already.
